This year of the College Football Playoff (CFP), conference championships didn't seem to mean to any team except Ohio State. The Sunday Selection Show revealed the top six teams: Georgia, Michigan, Texas Christian University (TCU), Ohio State, Alabama, and Tennessee. Georgia took care of business in the SEC Championship by defeating LSU 50-30. Michigan had a dominant performance in their victory in the Big Ten Championship beating Purdue 43-22. This solidified the top two spots for Georgia and Michigan, however TCU wasn't as successful.

TCU quarterback may have had the performance of his life in the Big 12 Championship game against Kansas State. He rushed for 40 yards to pick up the first down late in the 4th quarter which led to a touchdown by Duggan and the Horned Frogs were able to tie the game with a 2-point conversion. He was absolutely winded after the series, the guy gave it his all. This led to the game going to overtime which had a very controversial play where it looked like TCU scored, but it was never reviewed. After going for the touchdown on 4th down the Kansas State defense was able to hold the Horned Frogs scoreless. On Kansas State's possession they were able to get a field goal to win the game and end TCU's perfect record and possibly their CFP chances.

Sunday morning social media was flooded with thoughts of who would be in the top four spots of the CFP. Many felt that Alabama would sneak in based on the dynasty they have built and the way they lost their games this season. They lost to Tennessee by a field goal and Texas A&M 24-20. TCU fans were on edge because of the loss in their conference championship. The show revealed TCU at #3 and seeing the relief and excitement on the players' faces was absolutely priceless. Ohio State was able to sneak in at 4 after USC's embarrassing loss in the Pac-12 Championship to Utah. Although TCU didn't come out victorious in the Big 12 Championship they still have a shot at a National Championship. The Horned Frogs are the Cinderella Story this season and I am definitely looking forward to their matchup against Michigan on December 31st in the Fiesta Bowl.
