Christmas Traditions

It's the most wonderful time of the year...CHRISTMAS TIME! This is my favorite time of the year. No more school, time with family and friends, and relaxing. Every family has their Christmas traditions, but my family's are quite unique.

On Christmas Eve we either gather at my grandparents' house or my house and my grandmother gives everyone gift bags, each gift bag is filled with pajamas. For as long as I can remember my grandma Carolyn has bought my whole family matching Christmas pajamas, the girls all get the same set and the guys get the same pants. Once we all put on our pajamas we gather in the living room it's time for... BINGO !! Every year each family goes to Dollar General or Dollar Tree and gets about 5-10 $1 gifts to play for in games of bingo. From candy to dish towels everyone is excited to win something for their family to take home. Also now that I am older I can participate in the money round. We play typically 2 rounds where everyone puts money in for someone to win.

Each Christmas the house is filled with laughter and singing. I love my family's traditions and no matter how old I get I'll never be too old to want to wear matching Christmas pajamas and win a coloring book in bingo at Christmas time. :)
